The Victoria (Australia)-Israel Science & Technology Research & Development Program (VISTECH) has been re-launched and is  now open to applications on a year-round basis. Israeli and Victorian companies engaged in collaborative R&D projects are invited to apply for funding under the program at any time.

Grants of up to $250,000 are available to support collaborative R&D projects by Victorian and Israeli organisations. The aim of the VISTECH program is to support the implementation of market-oriented collaborative research and development projects by Victorian and Israeli businesses.

Phase I of the submission process requires applicants to submit a Bilateral Cooperation Form and LOI together. After receiving approval, they will be asked to submit separate national applications for Phase II submissions.

MATIMOP can also assist in identifying partners for projects in Australia and Israel.

Prof. Isaac Ben Israel will be in Australia 9-12 March.

As part of the on-going focus on Cyber Security, the Israel Trade Commission is proud to be bringing Prof. Isaac Ben-Israel to Australia, 9-12 March. Prof. Ben Israel was appointed by Israel’s PM to lead a task force that formulated Israel’s national Cyber policy. He also consults to the Singaporean Government on a range of R&D and cyber initiatives.

Prof. Ben Israel will meet with some of Australia’s largest companies and will be speaking at numerous functions in both Sydney and Melbourne. We encourage you to attend.

The Bridge: Israel-Australia Investment Summit was coordinated and hosted by The Israel Trade Commission in November 2015.

The invitation only event brought the largest ever delegation of VC’s and startups from Israel together with high-profile corporates and investors in Australia to inspire, disrupt and connect the two innovation eco-systems.

The event offered a platform for a number of keynote addresses, panels and round-tables. Among keynote speakers was Avi Hasson, Israel’s Chief Scientist. The event also included pitches, including the first ever real elevator pitching competition, and opportunities startups to demonstrate their technology and meet speakers and attendees.
